10 May 2010 - 6 months old

I am 6 months old today.

As at my last PD visit last Monday, I weigh 7.075 kg and 63cm tall, 50 percentile on weight and 25 percentile on height.

Well being 6th month old, I can do the following well

1. Likes to smile and giggle

2. Need more attention and companion

3. My "eyes" follows mummy when she walk pass and "ask" for mummy

4. Flip but don't really know how to flip back.

5. Try to crawl but can't move

6. Can sit without support

7. Likes to jump even while sitting

8. Very curious with surrounding (kpo)

9. Understand when mummy scold me or hit my finger while I trying to snatch her chain

10. Start to eat semi-solid - tried brown rice cereal, apple puree, sweet potatoes puree

And the list continued....

Activities while grandma in town

As stated in previous post, granny is in town as my nanny going for tour. Granny has went back Ipoh on Monday. I miss her cause she will play most of the time and while granny is here, daddy and mummy will bring me to market almost every morning as granny prefer to get fresh ingredient to cook and to buy her Msian newspaper. After granny go back to Ipoh, I am back to my schedule .

Well, other than the going out market and home cooked meals that granny prepare, we also went to Sentosa as granny have friend who ask her to go casino. We went on Friday when mummy and daddy is on leave(which suppose to be going to KL for the long weekend, but mummy find it is troublesome as she still need to pump everyday, so postpone the trip).

As mother's day and granny birthday is on May, we went to Vivocity to have lunch as Akashi as granny likes to eat Japanese Saba fish. Then we meet up granny's friend and we head off to Sentosa. While granny and her friend in casino, daddy and mummy walk around the area while waiting for granny. The trip is fun and I screamed in joy as i got to see so many colourful lightings.

On Saturday, since granny is around, we went for dim sum lunch at Ah Yat seafood restaurant at The Village, granny, mummy and daddy enjoy the lunch and I enjoy the company as I can't eat any of it yet.

Nanny went China tour & Grandma in town

My nanny went for 1 week tour in China. Mummy ,daddy take turns to take leave to take care of me. Mummy request granny to come to SG to help out as she can't handle me alone as I am too "sticky" to mummy. Grandma arrive last Sat by flight and been helping out on cooking as my "smart" mummy scalded her hand on Sunday. Anyway, granny is so happy to see me cause the last time she meet me is when I am 1.5 months. She say I very gal gal look, active, very observant aka kpo and like to smile and etc...and granny enjoying playing with me.

Mummy scalded her hand

Careless mummy scalded her hand yesterday while she preparing water for me to bath. She scalded the back of the left palm. According to the doc, is 1st to 2nd degree burn, according to doc nothing much can be done but give some cream to ease the pain cause according to doc once scalded the tissue is burn. Mummy just got to bare the pain till it subside and at the same time have some medicine to prevent inflamation and for pain relief.

The pain lasted for several hours and now the skin is red, sensitive,a bit swollen and with a few blister. Hopefully the skin can dry up fast and recover so that mummy can fully take care of me.

Mummy, be more careful next time and I love you.

Mummy bought SGD565 dollars worth of toys from Mattel Toy warehouse sales and daddy just setup this jumperoo(SGD200) to play for now and I am not tall enough and need to have a pillow below my feed. What's that? Blue lizard ....yucks....

It's been a while ...

Didn't post since before CNY and mummy's friends has been complaining why no updates. Ok, a quick one.

This year, I spend my first CNY and Valentine's day with daddy mummy in SG. It also the first CNY that daddy and mummy didn't go back home town cause I am too young to travel. How we spend CNY? We went Jurong Point on the 1st and 2nd day of CNY and have steamboat lunch and dinner at aunty Chris and mummy bossi house.

I got mild fever after vacination.

I will be 5 months in around 2 weeks time. My weight is around 6.4 kg and height around 62cm, last measured by daddy last weekend. I am currently drinking 150ml BM or 120 to 135 ml FM. I don't really like FM, I will fuss a bit when mummy daddy feed me FM . Mummy is thinking should change my FM to Enfalac as her friends says Enfalac is thinner , similar to BM, however mummy worry the effect on me and she will ask PD during the next vacination and another 1 + to 2 months I can start eating some solid.

End of next month, nanny aunty going tour for a week, mummy and daddy will take turn to take leave to take care of me, as 1 May is holiday , they are still thinking whether to go KL as I have not go back to "home country" since birth. Grandma will come over to accompany and help out during this week as daddy mummy worry they can't handle me alone.

I prefer to "Sit" upright...

Sometimes I likes to sleep side way instead of face up. Taking nap on the new Sea Horse mattress that mummy bought and carried home till her wrist pain. Thank you mummy.
